WTO's Ministerial Conference

The Ministerial Conference is the topmost body of the WTO under the governance structure set up by the Agreement Establishing the WTO. It is to meet at least every two years.

Direction

The Ministerial Conference can take decisions on all matters under any of the multilateral trade agreements.

In 1996, for example, the Singapore Ministerial Conference adopted the Ministerial Declaration on Trade in Information Technology Products, otherwise known as the Information Technology Agreement.
